Leeds sign Aussie Star

Leeds Rhinos have completed the signing of Aussie star Danny Buderus from NRL side Newcastle Knights.
The 30-year old hooker, who joins the Engage Super League Champions on a two-year contract, enjoyed a very successful 14-year career with Aussie side Newcastle, winning numerous NRL titles, along with representing New South Wales in successful State of Origin winning teams.
The former Australian skipper has stated that he feels the time is right for a fresh challenge.
“Over the last couple of years there have been some good performances at Newcastle but we haven’t played in the big games as a club.” Buderus commented. “I’ve obviously played Origin but I can see myself playing some big games here at Leeds”
Buderus will miss the Rhino’s first couple of games with a bicep injury, including there Carnegie World Club Challenge against the Manly Sea Eagles on March 1st, match ball supplied by Steeden.
