Dragons vs Wolves teams
posted: 12 September 2008
The second of Super League XIII play offs will get underway on Saturday as Catalan Dragons will take on Warrington Wolves at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.
Both sides have named strong squads for the elimination clash in a hope to extend there season and book a place against either Bradford or Wigan in the next round of the play off’s.
Warrington will be without props Rob Parker (suspended) and Paul Rauhihi (back) and have doubts over Stand-off Lee Briers (knee injury), and skipper Adrian Morley (pictured) (Stomach) but Warrington coach James Lowes is trying to remain positive,
We have one or two problems which I don't want to delve into too much," said Coach James Lowes. "They are 50-50s.
"We are hoping they will come through but unfortunately we are going off for France a day earlier than I really wanted and that brought everything forward a day."
The Wolves have had mixed results whilst playing in France and will have to overcome a partisan crowd to take victory on Saturday evening
Catalans meanwhile will welcome back scrum half Thomas Bosc after he missed last weekends game with a thumb injury and have selected 20 year old centre/ second rower Jean Phillipe Baile ahead of specialist forward Julien Touxagas.
Catalan coach Mick Potter has admitted being wary of Warrington’s “scary” attack and warned his team to not underestimate the Wolves attacking potential.
“Warrington are scary in attack” said Potter. “If some of the things they do come off for them, they are really dangerous.”
