Thames Valley Touch Championships

Here are some pictures from the Thames Valley Touch Associations Championships which were held at the Berkshire Sports and Social Club on the 9th August.
Steeden are the official match ball of the England Touch Association (E.T.A) and all there competitions are played using the Steeden Touch Classic, available to buy online now through the Steeden website.
The day went well despite rain affecting play according to event organiser Paul Farrington with lots of teams turning up to participate in a cup, bowl, plate and shield competition. The tournament was eventually won by Cambridge Hornets.
Paul Farrington was very pleased with the days proceedings and commented on the National Touch Series and its continuing growth
"It is hoped that the NTS will provide a bridge between local leagues and international Touch, exposing players and referees to a higher level of competition, thus stregthening the game in England."
Touch rugby is fast becoming one of the most popular sports in the country and is played by men and woman of all ages.
